About Us

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible.
Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name without discrimination. We provide a client choice pantry, clothing closet, ready-made-meals, youth character building programs, music instruction, Bible studies, young adult volleyball, Sunday church, Sunday school, and community events. We also compete in music and creative arts competitions. Our desire is to help individuals physically, emotionally, spiritually as well as building a strong foundation of community for them and families as well. In the summer, we send youth to weekly overnight camps at our beautiful Salvation Army Camp Redwood Glen in the Santa Cruz mountains. We also provide opportunities for the community to volunteer and to help give back during the very festive and important Christmas season where you'll see our red kettles out at the stores. We have a wonderful property that has a gym, chapel, dining area, and kitchen that can also be rented out for community use. We exist to bring people hope, joy, and love through community, programming, and God's love.
