We are pleased to present five different business growth seminars that are being held prior to the 2015 Silicon Valley Chamber Business XPO.  Two seminars will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and then an additional three will be held from 4:45-5:45 p.m.  You have the choice of one from each time slot when you register.  Following are the descriptions of the seminars:

Are you looking to promote your business through print and television?  Afraid it might be over what your budget is?  Our panel of media representatives will share with you tips and ideas on how to promote your business through various media outlets.  We have confirmed panelists from the Silicon Valley Business Journal and ABC 7/KGO-TV will be participating to give you a better understanding of options and how to get your business noticed.  And you'll find that it's not as cost-prohibitive as you may have thought!  Learn who you should contact and what our media representatives need from you to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

Banking for Small Business:  EMV Cards

By October 1, 2015, all merchants must convert to using machines that read the new EMV chip cards.  Find out how these new rules can impact your business.  Presented by Wells Fargo Bank & The Silicon Valley Business Journal.


            4:45-5:45 p.m.:

How to grow your business by networking the right way

The seminar will cover the right approach to networking to build your business.  Learn how to build your network of business partners for the long term, instead of just passing out as many cards as you can at events.  You'll leave the seminar with a better understanding of how to build partnerships and increase your business through reciprocal referrals.  This seminar is a must for anyone starting out in business, sales or if you just feel a need for a refresher on networking tips.
