Description
Plant & Play offers a behind-the-scenes look at how ideas become real from design to fabrication to planting.
What happens on the day of the event:
- Guests are guided through how a planter box is designed in AutoCAD
- Participants watch one of the largest CNC machines in the Bay Area fabricate the planter box components live
- Attendees hands on assemble their own planter boxes
- Once built, participants fill their boxes with soil and plant seeds and plants, leaving with something they designed, built, and planted themselves
- Expo-style setup for all sponsors to showcase their organization
- The event also features a live demo of a full-size AI robot dog, highlighting emerging technology
Plant & Play is family-friendly and open to students, educators, and community members, showcasing the creativity, technology, and teamwork behind today’s construction industry.
