Multi-Chamber Mixer
Celebrates Silicon Valley Central Chamber’s 75th Anniversary
 
Santa Clara – Over 300 business leaders, dignitaries, candidates for office, and elected officials from all over the Bay Area converged in Santa Clara on Thursday afternoon for a Multi-Chamber Mixer called the 2022 BBQ Bash featuring 15 Chambers of Commerce. Also celebrated was the Silicon Valley Central Chamber’s (SVC Chamber) 75th Anniversary who was the main host of the event.
 
John Elwood, 2022-2023 Board Chair of the SVC Chamber accepted six distinguished recognitions and mementos from elected officials to commemorate the SVC Chamber’s 75th Anniversary. US Senator Diane Feinstein’s office presented a US Flag that had been flown over the US Capitol in Washington D.C., CA State Senator Bob Wieckowski’s office presented a CA Flag that had been flown over the California State Capitol in Sacramento, and CA State Assemblymember Lee personally presented an official Certificate of Recognition commemorating the anniversary, to name but three.
 
Elwood recognized the longevity of the organization, “I am distinctly privileged to serve as the Board Chair of the Silicon Valley Central Chamber at this 75-year milestone. Thank you to Senator Feinstein, Senator Wieckowski, and Assemblymember Lee for this wonderful recognition.”
 
Fifteen Chambers of Commerce from across the Bay Area came together to co-host this mixer and send their members to attend. Christian D. Malesic, President/CEO of the Silicon Valley Central Chamber, said “The business community is strong and united in Silicon Valley. Though members from 15 different Chambers stand here today, we stand as one for business and the economic growth of the region.”
